Greenham Common Airbase is most well known as the location of 96 cruise missiles during the 1980s and the protests that accompanied them. On this massive site, you can explore the control tower, see the fire plane, stroll around the fenced missile bunkers, and visit the Greenham Peace Garden. The places of interest are quite well spread out, so you may want to drive to the different carparks nearer each one. Go to the control tower first, and ask the advice of the volunteers.
